H.E. Prof. Sir Manuel Alejandro Freire-Garabal has been appointed with the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Banu Assaf during the Elite Global Family Offices and Private Investors Convened in Monaco at H.E. Sir Anthony Ritossa’s (15th Global Family Office Investment Summit for thought Leadership Exchanges on Legacy and Impact Investing).

He receives the highest honour of one of the most ancient orders of the Middle East according to his greatest achievements over more than 30 years of experience in the field of education and medicine.

His multiple contributions have changed significantly the life of future generations around the globe, mainly through his studies in the field of cancer research.

H.E. Prof. Sir Manuel Alejandro Freire-Garabal Núñez MD, Ph.D., FRSM, is a Full Professor of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). Born in Spain, he has a Medical Degree (1986) and a PhD in Medicine (1989) from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC).

He has acquired complementary education in Drug Discovery and Development, Global Health, Management, Organizations, Finances, Economy, Law and Cybersecurity.

Specialist in General Medicine by the Spanish Ministry of Health.
Currently, he is a Full Professor of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela, lecturing in Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics in the Degree of Medicine.

He also participates in Master courses (Research and Development of Medicines; Healthcare Management; Clinical and Social Gerontology), PhD training (Research and Development of Medicines; Comprehensive Healthcare; Clinical and Social Gerontology; Pharmacology; Clinical and Health Psychology) and other pre-and post-graduate educational activities (on Neurosciences, Mental Health, Stress and Health; Stress in high-Risk Professions; Training Course for caregivers of Mentally Handicapped; Nursing Training; Pharmaceutical Industry; Oncology; Translational Medicine; Emergency Medicine; etc.)

Director of the Stress and Neuroimmunology Laboratory research group, originally dedicated to Psycho-Neuro-Immunology, developing strategies to reduce the impact of stress and living conditions on cancer, infection and autoimmune diseases. Nowadays, he is more involved in the discovery and development of new drugs against cancer, immune diseases and infection, having obtained new compounds, of synthetic and natural origin – including some from the sea – that can be useful in future prostate and breast cancer treatment.

Authored +100 publications, addressed 23 PhD, and have participated with +200 lectures, keynotes and communications to scientific meetings worldwide, having received 15 national and international awards.

He was a member of the board of directors and advisor of several companies where he had the opportunity to create products and solutions, develop strategies and design performance improvements.

Currently, he is also involved in the design and development of artificial intelligence applied to healthcare and higher education.

He had international executive responsibilities in higher education, science, healthcare and entrepreneurship.

He was Advisor Responsible for International Relations of the USC for 10 years; during this time, he was in charge of the creation of one of the influential university international consortia in the world, the Compostela Group of Universities – still being a member of its executive committee – and in the organization of outstanding international programs and meetings.

About Sir Anthony, He is the Chairman of the Ritossa Family Office which represents the distillation of 600 years of history – of a grove, a family and a region. Regarding to the Official Communication of October 15 th, 2019, there is an illegal use of corporate image and institutional name in operation where the the Private Council of His Highness Mahmoud Salah Al Din Assaf name and the the name of His Highness Mahmoud Salah Al Din Assaf, as well as the registered coat of arms are being used without consent in an apparent “Business Club” webpage called “Kitty Mason Business Club”. Making the correspondent investigation, was discovered that the person who started developing this situation is a former member of the Private Council called Marcel van Vleuten.

Nowadays was discovered a second impersonation case. Marcel van Vleuten is working in some other scamming campaigns with a polish individual called Kamil Grund in some networks and pages using the name of our institution as well as the name of His Highness Mahmoud Salah Al Din Assaf with fraud intentions. This second person offered many times  the Private Council to participate in his projects but the institution always rejected it due to incompatibility of characters with our quality and philosophy.

According  to this circumstances and because the scammers are avoiding communications and they are continuing with their criminal activities, His Highness Mahmoud Salah Al Din Assaf personally have approved to start the proceeding of criminal case for impersonation in the United States to Kamil Grund and Marcel Van Vleuten because of the unauthorized use of the name of the institution, the name of His Highness, the corporative image as well as the name of some of the members who are included in the Advisory board of our institution as well as in partner institutions like Al-Khalifa Business School.

Talking in legal concepts for prevention, whoever falsely assumes or pretends to be a public personality acting under the authority of the United States, Institution, Agency or Public Interest Organization registered in the United States and similars thereof, and acts as such, or in such pretended character demands or obtains any money paper, document, or thing of value, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

في أي لحظة ، كانت لشركته أو لنفسه السلطة لاستخدام صورتنا وكذلك اسمنا للنشر أو لمشاركة أي نوع من الشراكة مع مكتبنا.

The person who manages that webpage it is a former member of the Private Council (Marcel van Vleuten) who because of different situations in which loyalty was violated with fraud, cause the immediately fire of our institution as well as all the honours attributed to him had been removed.

In any moment, his company or himself had the authority to use our image as well as our name for publishing or to share any kind of partnership with our office.

Because by private communications the webpage didn’t remove the ilegal use of our name and our corporate image, we give this company a period of 24 hours to remove it or legal actions will be taken.

As we know, other image and institutions names had being used illegally in the same webpage and all of them had being advertised with the aim of prevent more institutional damages.
